The Department of Chemistry and Physics at Fayetteville State University hosts a diverse monthly seminar series, which presents speakers from academia, industrial corporations, and laboratories. The departmental seminars provide a forum where renowned and emerging chemists and physicists are invited to present their cutting-edge research and discoveries to Fayetteville State University students and faculty. Unless otherwise noted, seminars are usually held at 2:00 pm on Tuesdays or Thursdays in Science and Technology Building 435 (The Studio Classroom). Undergraduate Research Seminar is organized by students for students. It is open to all FSU undergraduates participating in undergraduate research. About 30-minute talks with 10 minutes of questions... The seminar gives a chance to practice presentation of research results to peers and faculty. It gives a chance to practice conference/seminar organizational skills for student scholars. All, especially the first- and second-year students, are strongly encouraged to attend.
